Ribbon Cutting & Kickoff Celebration

We are excited to open this year’s Depot Days on September 17th with a Ribbon Cutting & Kickoff Celebration! Our presenting sponsor, Decatur Morgan Hospital – Hartselle Medical Mall, will join the City of Hartselle, and the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce on the main stage at 8am for an official ribbon cutting for our 41st Annual Depot Days Festival. A special tribute is planned to honor past and present military members of our community and their families.  Everyone is invited to attend. We look forward to kicking off the day with a celebration of the hard work and community-wide support put into our annual Depot Days Festival!

Community Worship Service

Presented by East Highland Baptist Church

Everyone is invited to our annual Depot Days Homecoming Singing on Sunday, September 11th at 6:00 p.m. held at East Highland Baptist Church. We invite all congregations to join us for an evening of congregational hymns and Southern Gospel music featuring many local churches, musicians, and soloists. A community choir will assemble for this year’s Homecoming singing, and we invite all those interested in participating to arrive by 4:30 p.m. prior to the worship service for a brief rehearsal. A special start to the Depot Days festivities, the annual Homecoming Singing provides an atmosphere of faith and community as we sing praises to the One who is worthy to be praised! Make plans to join us for this wonderful evening of music and worship!

Down Memory Lane

Presented by Hartselle Historical Society

The stately Hartselle First Christian Church has stood to greet those entering Hartselle’s east side of town for over 100 years. Hundreds pass the church’s beautiful stained-glass windows, stone exterior, and iconic red door every week, and on Monday, September 12th, the Hartselle Historical Society offers the opportunity to walk inside and learn of the church’s rich history with “Down Memory Lane.”

Hartselle’s First Christian Church was founded in 1881 by a seven-member congregation who met in an A-frame building on the south end of Milner Street. The present building at 209 Main Street East was erected in 1922. Its congregation celebrated its 100th anniversary in May of 2022.

Don’t miss this chance to celebrate a special piece of Hartselle history. A welcome will be given at 6:15 in the sanctuary, followed by a tour of the building. Displays and refreshments will be in the basement. An elevator is located next to handicap parking at the rear of the building.
